Instructional Facilities

California South Bay University (CSBU) is located in Sunnyvale, a city located in the world famous Silicon Valley area in California. The University is 40 minutes away from San Francisco Downtown, one of the top financial centers of the world, and it is 10 minutes away from San Jose, CA. World headquarters of Google, Yahoo, Intel, HP and Cisco are located within less than 20 minutes’ drive from CSBU. The University conveniently accessible via public transportation with bus stops located at its front gate and the light rail stations, Caltrain Sunnyvale station nearby. Motorists can access us via highway 101 and 237 at the Lawrence Expressway exit.

The school consists of classrooms, administrative offices, laboratories, libraries, student lounge, cafeterias, computer labs, kitchen and restrooms. All the facilities on campus have teaching equipment sufficient to meet educational needs. Abundant and free onsite parking is available for students use. 

Teaching and Research

CSBU’s teaching, research, and laboratory facilities are equipped with hardware and software tools. To keep up with the advancement in information technology, CSBU’s IT Department provides a modern digital campus environment to the faculty, students, and administrative staff. Based on technology requirements for each course, the classroom is set up accordingly at the beginning of each semester. A number of classrooms are equipped with computers and high speed Internet network for the students to use. Modern design, simulation, 3D printers and testing tools are also available for students to participate in creative projects or to do academic research.

Computer Laboratory

Computer facilities include Networking and Software Testing Lab with full wireless Internet connections.

Various Specific software programs are installed on computers that are running Windows 7 and Linux System in various classrooms and laboratories. Designated learning laboratories for the students to conduct after-class hands-on practice are available to the students daily. Practices focus on the following:

•           Software design
•           Multimedia design
•           Computer networking, systems administration, and network security
•           Database administration and database design
•           E-business implementation

Accounting and Auditing Tools

Accounting software programs and auditing software programs are set up in a group of computers in the classrooms for the students to gain hands-on experience with these tools.

CSBU Online Portal
CSBU Online Portal is a gateway for students to access a variety of academic resources, learning tools, and platforms for discussion. Students will be able to find all studying materials and assignment available for each registered course. Course forums will have posts from classmates and professors’ comments and ideas. Students will also be able to track academic performance from their accounts throughout the semesters. All CSBU students are informed of Online Portal login information through emails. University Library
The University Library consists predominantly of reference texts utilized in instruction. Other materials may be accessible through e-library.
Library Hours: Monday -  Friday 10:00am – 5:00pm
