Admission Guide

Admissions

For Master Degree programs, the academic year is divided into three semester terms each year, starting in: January, May, and September respectively. An applicant may apply for admission into any of the three Semester Terms. Applications are accepted throughout the year.

The CSBU Admissions Committee provides individualized admission evaluation service and follows the approved credit transfer policy to transfer credit for each application.

Application Requirements

All CSBU Applications must include:

  1. CSBU Application Form
  2. $ 100 Non-refundable University Admission Application Fee
  3. Copy of Photo ID
  4. Official Transcripts
  5. Diploma copy of any earned degree programs
  6. TOEFL or IELTS score report ( if English is not your first language)
  7. GRE or GMAT scores (optional)
  8. Letter of Recommendation  (optional)

Official Transcripts

All official transcripts must be received prior to final admissions approval. Late submissions are permitted only with the approval of the Admissions Committee. Student enrolled in courses at another institution at the time of application will have 60 days after the completion of the course to provide CSBU the updated transcript. Failure to submit official transcript on time may result in placement of the applicant into temporary a non-degree status.

English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants who have completed high school education or an undergraduate degree program in an English speaking country or school are considered meeting the entrance English requirement.

Applicants whose preparatory education was principally in a language other than English must prove sufficient skills in English to be considered for admission. English proficiencies can be assessed by a standardized test, such as TOEFL or IELTS. The test results will indicate the student’s English proficiency level in listening, grammar, reading, speaking and writing. Students need to get minimum score of English proficiency test (mentioned below) to meet degree program admission requirement.

Applicants must receive a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), or 79 on the Internet Based Test (iBT), or a 6.0 on the International English Language Test (IELTS). TOEFL Institution Code for CSBU is 6691.
