CSBU Certificate Programs
California South Bay University is committed to excellence in education and quality service. Our instructors have extensive experience in their profession and in teaching. Our students not only will learn advanced knowledge and skills in their fields, but also they will gain access to potential job opportunities upon completion of their programs at CSBU.
As a University, CSBU offers certificate programs in the following field: Accounting , Computer Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Biller & Coder, Premise Telecom Installer and Solar Photovoltaic Design & Installation. Currently, we also offers classes in specific training program including Cisco Certification training, IC Lay Out Design training, and JAVA programming certification training.
Most of our certificate programs are listed on the Eligible Training Provider List of the Employment Development Department (EDD).
All of certificate programs offered by CSBU are designed to strengthen student's knowledge and skills in the specific profession in order to enhance their compatibility in job searching.
Program Description
Accounting: The Accounting certificate program is designed to give student the basic knowledge of QuickBooks theory and practice as well as to develop the analytical skills necessary for careers in corporate and public accounting.
Computer Office Assistant: This program helps you to gain the skills you need to make effective use of today's most popular and powerful suite of business applications while you prepare for professional certifications.
Medical Assistant: This program is designed to prepared student obtain entry- level employment in the medical field as Medical Assistant. Programs will cover theory knowledge and skill needed to perform administrative and clinical tasks.
Medical Biller & Coder: This program will provide student with basic knowledge for entry level medical biller and coder. Courses will include basic medical terminology, medical records and information, insurance billing, office procedures and accounting. The program will also cover basic knowledge of software used for medical billing and scheduling.
Premise Telecom Installer: This program coupled with an internship provide the training for persons entering into employment as a cable installer for telecommunication companies, and network integrators, i.e., companies in the business of selling and installing computerized systems.
Solar Photovoltaic Design & Installation: Accredited by IREC, this certificate program will prepare you with the knowledge and skills required to pass the entry level certificate exam sponsored by North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioner (NABCEP). Currently, CSBU is also a registered provider for the NABCEP Entry Level Knowledge Exam.
Biotechnology: This program offers competency-based instruction and skills that companies look for from student who want to enter biotechnology industry.

Our admission counselor will be able to assist you during your enrollment process. You can also take advantage of campus tour service available for our prospective students during this appointment.
Identification and official diploma and/or transcript documenting at minimum a degree equivalent of high school from an approved institution are required for admission.
Financial Aids
CSBU is eligible to receive Individual Training Account (ITAs) through WIA
(Workforce Investment Act) funds. If you are unemployed, want to have new
career and in need professional job training, or need to improve your
skills, the WIA program may provide a funding for vocational training
through your local career center. In sum, CSBU has worked together with
local career centers as an Eligible Training Provider to provide its
student opportunity to develop their working competitiveness. Please refer
to basic requirement for applying EDD fund document.
CSBU also provides several other options to assist our eligible students
in funding their education. Scholarship, Student Employment and
Installment
Payment Plan are among financial assistance that CSBU offered for its
student. Please contact our admission counselor for more information on
financial assistance options.
